About Our Villa

Villa Description:

Villa 31 ("La Casa Brillante") is a spacious (6,881 sq. ft.), luxurious Mediterranean styled villa located at Sea Horse Ranch, a world-renowned and exclusive gated oceanfront villa resort in Sosua-Cabarete, on the North Coast of the Dominican Republic. It has all the comforts and amenities you require for a truly outstanding and memorable holiday. Furnishings are in teak and rattan with lots of soft cushions and pillows, and original art featuring Dominican artists. The villa is a Superior Tropical Garden Villa in the Los Corales section of the resort, close to the ocean beaches, community pools and restaurant. The villa has been totally renovated and remodeled, completed July 2006, with a private pool and gardens, and enough verandas, patios and terraces to allow everyone their "own space" and privacy.

Living Areas:

The dining, recreation and living areas are arranged in an open floor plan that also allows separation and privacy when that is desired. The entire back of the villa opens to interconnect with the large veranda that overlooks the pool. Movable doors can be completely or partially closed, to separate the living and/or dining areas from the veranda, for privacy when you want to have a more formal dinner or more intimate socializing in the living room.

Bedrooms:

The villa features 4 large air-conditioned bedrooms. There is a completely private master suite on the 2nd floor that features a king-size bed, lounge areas, separate sitting room with overstuffed sectionals (which can also be used as a TV and entertainment room), private terrace overlooking the pool, walk-in closet and a luxurious bathroom that includes glass enclosed double rainfall showers and an outside jacuzzi.

A romantic second master is located in a separate guesthouse connected by a thatched roof walkway. It has a king-size bed, vaulted ceilings, private veranda and a bathroom with enchanting outside double showers. Two additional large bedrooms are located in the main house on the first floor and have queen-size beds and private baths, one with both inside and outside showers.

Kitchen:

The kitchen has been completely redone and features stainless steel appliances, granite counter tops and all the cookware and utensils for a cooks delight.

Pool and Gardens:

The beautiful freeform shaped pool directly off the main veranda of the house is large enough for doing laps or just relaxing in the water. It is surrounded by a fieldstone patio and terraced lawns and gardens, all enclosed by a stone wall and shrubbery at the back and sides of the property that offer complete privacy. There is also a cozy orchid garden hideaway with a stone bench and table hidden away in a shady corner of the yard for quiet reading and relaxation.

Music and Entertainment:

A TV, DVD/CD and receiver/amplifier with surround sound located in the living room can also pipe music to the speakers on the veranda. A separate large screen TV with DVD, CD, cassette player and stereo are upstairs in the sitting room for when this area is used for entertainment.

Services:

Villa 31 employs a full-time maid to pamper you and make your stay as relaxing and carefree as possible. In addition to normal cleaning and household duties, the maid is available to fix breakfasts and lite snacks, serve drinks, wash clothes, perform limited babysitting and do whatever it takes to make your vacation as enjoyable and pleasant as possible. If you desire, you can arrange for the maid to stay overnight as there are separate maid's quarters.

Our guests also have available to them the full concierge service of Sea Horse Ranch, to assist with airport pickup, dinner reservations, golf outings, tours, sightseeing, car rentals, private cars with drivers, nannies, massages, facials, etc. Chefs can also be provided for your entire stay or single meals when you want to dine in and have professionally prepared meals.

Safety and Security:

Sea Horse Ranch is a gated community with security personnel stationed at the front gate and throughout the community 24 hours a day, seven days a week to insure your safety.

A beautiful lighted walking path directly across from the front of the villa allows you and your youngsters to take a stroll or walk in safety to the private beaches, bathing pools and beach club, which are an easy and short distance away.

Location:

Sea Horse Ranch is 15 minutes from the international airport at Puerto Plata. It is located 10 minutes from the town of Cabarete, one of the hottest new destinations in the Caribbean, with restaurants, bars and discos, many right on the beach, and its world famous kiteboarding and surfboarding, including the world championships. The city of Sosua is 5 minutes away and also offers a complete variety of restaurants, bars, discos and shopping. Three gambling casinos are in close proximity, one 2 minutes away. For those who like to golf there are 2 courses within easy driving, including the outstanding Robert Trent Jones Playa Grande 45 minutes away.

Sea Horse Ranch Facilities:

These include an equestrian center, tennis club, yoga and exercise classes, walking trails, seaside pools for both adults and children, private ocean beaches and a beach club restaurant and lounge open for breakfast, lunch, dinner and between meal snacks. Takeout service is also available with delivery direct to your villa when desired.
